Leaving a gift in your Will
If you have already made a Will
If you have already made a Will, but would like to leave a gift to the Trinity Sailing Foundation, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil. By adding this supplement to your will you can include new instructions and delete old ones without having to go through the task of revoking the whole Will.
If you have not yet made a Will
If you do not have a Will at the moment, you may need to see a solicitor. Although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive sound professional advice and can be sure that your wishes are achieved. There are two ways you can give to the Trinity Sailing Foundation in your Will:
a) Residuary gift – you can choose to leave a share, or the whole, of what is left in your estate once you have provided for your loved ones.
b) Pecuniary gift – you can choose to give a gift of a fixed amount of money.
Where can I find out more? If you think you could help with a gift in your Will, please send for our free booklet. These useful guides will help give you helpful information about how to make or update your Will, as well as how to leave a gift to the Trinity Sailing Foundation.
In Memoriam Giving
You can commemorate the life of a loved one by sending a donation to the Trinity Sailing Foundation in place of funeral flowers.
How does this work? If you would like to remember a relative, friend or colleague in this special way we can offer you collection envelopes for donations in lieu of flowers. To order these or make a donation, simply telephone us on +44 (0) 1803 883355. Alternatively you can donate now. Once we have your full details we will ensure that a letter confirming your kind gift is sent to either you or the next of kin. Thank you for remembering the Trinity Sailing Foundation at this difficult time.
