Special Offers — Adult Adenture and RYA Week
We are offering a special discounted rate on two upcoming Golden Vanity trips — an RYA week and an Adult Adventure Voyage.
Due to a late family-group cancellation, we are offering £245 off our Adult Adventure Voyage and £245 off a RYA Day Skipper/Competent Crew Week — a combined saving of nearly £500 if you book on to both trips (though this is not essential and you can choose to join us for just one).
The Adult Adventure Voyage — which costs £450 — takes place between Saturday, June 29 and Friday, July 5. The RYA week — which also costs £450 — starts the following day and runs between Saturday, July 6 and Friday, July 12. So you could enjoy a two-week sailing break — with all food, drink, bedding, wet weather gear, and safety equipment — for just £900.
Both weeks are set to be quite different. Our Adult Adventure Voyages are a new addition to the Trinity Sailing Programme for 2019, led by Vanity’s Skipper Jim Bonney. He will be taking thrill-seeking guests to some of the best spots along the Devon coast, which are often inaccessible to larger vessels. Perhaps you have a kayak or a stand up paddle board that you have fancied taking to a place you cannot get a car near, or you just like the idea of swimming into a cove or a bay. The crew are aiming to cook some dinners ashore, so you can enjoy a sunset on a remote beach before the next day begins.
If you are considering an RYA course, you may have contemplated doing this on a modern boat, but we promise a more memorable, beneficial, and rewarding experience on a traditional vessel and your new-found knowledge is easily applied to contemporary yachts. Based in Brixham, Devon, this is an ideal cruising ground for those wanting to learn to sail. Tor Bay offers sheltered waters to the prevailing winds and the many estuaries and harbours on the south coast offer plenty of opportunities to teach the syllabus. Competent Crew is for new and novice sailors looking to build up their skills, with no previous sailing experience required; and Day Skipper is for those who wish to be introduced to all aspects of skippering a yacht.
You will be in safe hands: Jim is an ex-Royal Marines Officer and became the first Commando to return to operational service as an amputee. He is joined by Mate Ida Schelhase Langenskov, the current coxswain of the Danish Atlantic Challenge crew.
