On Tuesday 2nd July 2013 the Relay Southwest team will be embarking on a major challenge.
They aim to circumnavigate Devon and Cornwall, running, cycling and sailing… all within 80 hours.
The Team is made up of young people from the public services courses at South Devon College and adult leaders from the Devon and Cornwall Police (from the Child Protection Team) and South Devon College.
By the time they have finished they will have run over 130 miles, cycled over 160 miles and sailed from Falmouth to Torbay.
After completing the gruelling 13 mile running legs and 40 mile cycling legs the team will step aboard Provident for the last part of the challenge – sailing the former Brixham trawler non-stop from Falmouth to Torquay.
Trinity is delighted to be able to play a part in this challenge and help raise vital funds which will be used to provide bursary support for groups of young people from Torbay undertake sail training courses.
