The 2013 Dartmouth Royal Regatta is just days away and now the full, and exciting, line-up has been revealed. Provident will be at the centre of it all on the Friday evening, when the show gets underway, at 5.15pm, with an aerial performance by The Blades.
A Typhoon Eurofighter will be taking to the skies at 5.45pm, building up to what promises to be a spectacular display from the much-celebrated Red Arrows. Throughout the day there will be rowing races up and down the River Dart and, as the skies begin to darken, the visual feast continues in to the night.
Between the higher and lower ferries, a pageant of boats will parade the river, gathering near the Sandquay at 8.45pm. The25-boat strong flotilla will then head off towards Kingswear, in single file, headed by the newly restored World War Two vessel, the Fairmile.
Guests will also have a chance to step off Provident to soak up the festival atmosphere, visiting an abundance of stalls lined along the river.
After being served a delicious, freshly prepared, meal on board, and a good night’s sleep, you will head off to Brittany for seven nights.
The voyage, which runs between Friday, August 20 and Saturday, September 7 is available for just £550, and there is still time to reserve your space.
