Working on Leader's masts in Totnes

Volunteering in Early 2017

Trinity Sailing is inviting volunteers to come down and help out with boat maintenance in the New Year.

As Christmas approaches, all three vessels are now laid up for the winter but work has been going on steadily since the end of the sailing season, and much has been achieved by those on board in preparation for the new season. With 2017 just around the corner, the fun task of getting the boats ready for sea will begin again.

Operations Manager Ben Wheatley said: “Our sea staff will be back at work in early January, and we would be very grateful to any volunteers who can help out from Monday, January 9th. onwards. Please get in touch and we will be glad to book you in.”

There will also be a volunteer weekend coming up in January (14 and 15) for those who cannot make it down to Brixham, due to work commitments.

Ben added: “Most people arrive on the Friday evening — please let us know if you would like dinner on board that night.
“Saturday gives us the chance to do a productive day’s work, followed a good meal and the prospect of visiting one or more local hostelries!
“We work through until about 4.30pm on the Sunday after which people tend to make their way home  — but we are very flexible with accommodation and catering arrangements .
“As usual we are happy to provide food and accommodation on board in exchange for your hard work on our lovely vessels.”
