Please take a look at our three specially-themed voyages in 2017
A Parent & Child Cruise
Are you keen to introduce your young ones to the world of sailing? Now’s your chance. Golden vanity will be offering a special voyage in 2016 for either mum, or dad, — or grandma or granddad — to head to sea with a young sailor. Pass on some nautical knowledge and have some special time together.
This voyage has been coincided to take place at the same time as the ASTO Small Tall Ships Race and Trans Atlantic Tall Ships Race 2017 which both start in Tor Bay during that week. You will be at the heart of the tall ship action.
Leader’s 125th Anniversary Cruise
Yes, that’s right, in 2017 it will be 125 years since Leader was built at W. A. Gibbs’ yard, in Galmpton, on the River Dart. We thought we should celebrate the old girl’s birthday milestone.
We will be sailing her up the Dart, to Galmpton, followed by a celebratory birthday dinner, with a complimentary glass of champagne. We will be joined by a guest speaker to look at Leader’s history through the decades and then spend several days sailing along the Devon and Cornwall coast, stopping off at host of ports along the way. Included in the price is a special limited-edition T-shirt for guests to take home as a memento from the week, along with a Leader information pack.
A Birdwatching Cruise
Leader will be welcoming a resident ornithologist on board for the six-night Isles of Scilly cruise, so we recommend bringing your binoculars for this new voyage experience. We will be looking out for breeds you would expect to find along the south west coastline, and hoping — with some expert advice and insider knowledge — to catch a glimpse of some rarer birds.
An Artist’s Cruise
Our pilot Art Cruise, on board Golden Vanity, in 2016 was one of the first trips to sell-out. For that reason, to allow more budding artisits to join us we will be doubling the available number of spaces on board Provident
Whether it’s a sturdy pencil or paints — bring along your desired art materials for cruise with a difference as Trinity skipper, and renowned Brixham artist, Toni Knights leads this special cruise one in Devon and Cornwall — encouraging you to bring out your artistic talent with some nautical inspiration.
A Shanty Cruise
On this cruise we will be celebrating the old work songs that were once commonly sung to accompany labour on board large merchant sailing vessels. Join Leader, in Falmouth, for a great sail along the Devon and Cornwall coast as she is ‘bound for south Australia’ —actually, no, Brixham. A ‘drop of Nelson’s blood won’t do you any harm’ as we stop at various watering holes along the way, with some great food on offer — we promise there will be more on offer than just a ‘chicken on a raft’.

Brixham is well connected by train to Paignton Station — opposite Paignton Bus Station — which operates the number 12 bus to Brixham, departing every 10 minutes, with a 15 minute journey time.
Falmouth has two train stations, Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks, both of which are close to the harbour.
On booking you’ll be sent a pack with full information on how to find your boat in these lovely harbour towns, and details on suggested kit list etc.
