Needles Bay (Isle of Wight)

South Coast & The Isle of Wight

From west to east Dorset is a fantastic cruising area surrounded by some stunning scenery. The shelter provided by the Isle of Wight ensures relatively calm seas, but often with enough wind to provide conditions for exciting sailing.

The iconic Needles at the western entrance give way to the colourful Alum Bay sands to the south.

Possible destinations include Cowes, Yarmouth,  Portsmouth, the Beaulieu River, Freshwater Bay, Newtown Creek, Osborne Bay — just off Queen Victoria’s favourite residence at Osborne House — and Southampton Water.

This season we have decided to make use of Golden Vanity’s size to offer this unique voyage which will explore the Jurassic coastline. Her unique size and design means guests will be able to explore more varied harbours and picturesque anchorages that would otherwise be off-limits to larger vessels.

*This voyage starts and ends in Poole.
