Trinity Sailing’s crew and office team will be welcoming people on board Leader for an open day next month.
Young people and their families are welcome to have a look around the vessel before she undergoes her winter refit and learn more about Trinity’s involvement in the 2015 Tall Ships Races.
During the open day, which starts at 2pm on Saturday, November 1, there will be a chance to meet and talk to participants in this year’s races.
Next July Leader will race against hundreds of other Tall Ships to Alesund, in Norway. From there she will head out on a ‘cruise-in-company’ along the Norwegian coast to Kristiansand before then completing the final leg to Aalborg in Denmark.
Since their inception in the 1950s, the Tall Ships Races have been a world-class nautical event, attracting young people from all over the world. At each port thousands of local, people and tourists line the harbours and sea fronts to see this amazing spectacle.
Leader will be moored on Brixham’s heritage pontoon, which is situated opposite The Prince William pub.
